About the role

The Student Enrolment Advisor (SEA) will advise prospective students considering courses provided by College Online in partnership with College Online’s network of Colleges and Universities.
 
The SEA will play an integral role in building a trusting relationship with prospective students, assisting and advising them at all recruitment stages through to enrolment onto their chosen course.  The SEA will remain as a touchpoint of support throughout the whole learner’s journey ensuring that every single student interaction offers them a first-class experience. It is part of College Online’s responsibility to ensure we recruit with integrity and only enrol students who we believe can succeed.  

What success in this role will look like

Success in this role will be the SEA maintaining the best interests of the student, with the student at the centre of each interaction.  The SEA will contribute to the achievement of student recruitment targets through quality information and accurate advice being given to each and every prospective student; at every stage of their pre-enrolment journey. Overall success is measured by successful completion. The SEA contribution to completion is to always recruit with integrity.

Key responsibilities

Enrolment Advice

  • Advising prospective students on all matters relating to the admissions process offering guidance on course entrance requirements; providing support with programme & college choices and application to College Online; 

  • Supporting with student loan application documentation and its preparation and providing information about other financial resources that might be available;

  • Responding to all pre-enrolment enquiries and accepted applicants liaise and network with College Tutors and the Student Success Coach;

  • Developing effective relationships to help meet recruitment & retention targets while always acting in the students’ best interests;

  • Collect, monitor, share data and manage any student staff issues relating to recruitment activities & escalate for a resolution as appropriate;

  • Coordinate daily follow up for incomplete applications;

  • Assist Student and College with the follow up of Student Loan applications/payments.

Marketing & Student Progression

  • Assist with the delivery of high-quality activities to attract students to College Online through the provision of information, advice and guidance;

  • Represent College Online at recruitment events across the UK as required; 

  • Support sales and field marketing efforts to increase local lead generation;

  • Co-ordinating with the Student Success Coach, identify potential & help promote students to the next level up of study;  

  • Assist in the development and production of relevant targeted recruitment & marketing materials;

  • Co-ordination of the alumni student network

  • Maintaining recruitment operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes;

  • Capturing FAQs to feed into College Online’s marketing activities; sharing relevant data with College Online’s network of College & University partners

  • Timely inputting of data into College Online’s CRM platform;

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Educated to Degree level desirable, ideally in business administration and computer science, or equivalent.

  • Enrolment/Admissions/Recruitment advisor would be an advantage

  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to help organise others 

  • Proficiency with MS Office to efficiently manage email and generate reports using Excel

  • User experience with CRM platforms would be an advantage

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative as well as within written policies & processes

  • Problem solving in a collaborative environment with education partners

  • Good attention to detail

  • An understanding of or experience as a career coach, advisor or counselling capacity would be an advantage

  • Confident with decision making

  • Ability to act professionally and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive data, such as financial resources for students.

  • Approachable & responsive with a willingness to work irregular/flexible hours to meet the needs of potential students

  • Ability to empathise with prospective students to support them in their career & educational choices 

  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills

  • Empathic and curious, able to ask the right questions

  • Ambitious with a passion for continuous professional development
