Upon completion of the HND (Level 5) in Leadership and Management, you can top-
up to a degree (Level 6) qualification.

Am I enrolling with college Online or HRUC?
You’ll enrol with your chosen college. For the Pearson BTEC HNC (Level 4) in Leadership and Management (January 2025), that’s Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges (HRUC). College Online designs the course, resources, and technology used by tutors and provides every student with a personal success coach.
How do I apply for a student loan?
If you are eligible, you can get a Tuition Fee Loan, from the Student Loan Company, to cover the full cost of your course. The Student Loan Company is a government-funded organisation and is responsible for providing loans and grants to students in higher education.
These loans can cover tuition fees, living costs, and other study-related expenses.
Your eligibility will depend, for example, on whether you have already drawn down a loan for other studies, and your UK residency status. You can check your eligibility on the government’s eligibility tracker.
You apply to the Student Loan Company with advice from your College Online Advisor, and if successful the entire cost of your course is paid directly to your college.
The Tuition Fee Loan must be repaid after you finish your course, but only when your income is over the threshold for your repayment plan.
You can apply for help with your fees from the government by visiting gov.uk/studentfinance.
How does flexible delivery work for me?
You will attend live online sessions and have the option to drop into your chosen college to access college facilities including the careers service.
Live online tutorials are an important way for you to be able to ask questions in real time, practice skills in a more social setting and get to know your peers better as well as advancing your knowledge and skills. These tutorials are likely to take from 2 to 4 hours a week.
There is a minimum ‘attendance’ of 80%. Unlike traditional courses, attendance counts all your guided learning hours, of which live sessions are only a part.
So, if you have to miss one or two tutorials, you could still pass the unit provided you complete your assessment successfully. You will miss out on the collaborative work and skills development, but your tutor will share a summary of any new content that was discussed in the session and any links to help you investigate the topics further.
You can ask questions or discuss this further with your group and tutor in the weekly forums and/or you can raise questions with your tutor in your 1:1 call.
Can international students apply to this course?
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to accept applications from international student applications but will expand access to international students in the near future. Please register your interest.

You will need to have a PC or Mac computer. Whilst it is possible to access and interact with most course content using a tablet or smartphone, these devices will not work for assessments.
